EWWA — English Worship Weekend Away — is an opportunity for our church family to step away from our usual Sunday setting and spend intentional time together in God's Word, in fellowship and in rest.
For well over 10 years, EWWA has been an overnight weekend away. But as our congregation has changed, so have the needs and circumstances of our church family.
For 2027, we're trialling a one-day Saturday format to make EWWA more accessible, whether that's in terms of location, cost, time commitment or family responsibilities. We hope this new format will make it easier for more people across our church family to participate, while still creating space for the things that make EWWA special: God's Word, connection, encouragement and worship.
This will be a trial for 2027, so we'd genuinely love to hear your feedback afterwards as we consider the future of EWWA.

Built Together: A Home Built on Christ.
As a church, we aren't simply a collection of individuals who meet in the same place each Sunday. We are a people being built together into a spiritual home, with Christ as our foundation.
EWWA 2027 will give us an opportunity to think about what it means to be built together—across generations, life stages and different experiences—and how each of us can contribute to the life of our church family.
Through God's Word, discussion, fellowship, prayer and worship, we'll consider what it looks like to build a church community that is firmly grounded in Christ and shaped by His love.
-
From 9am to 4pm, the day will include three sessions, with a mix of talks and seminars, alongside a dedicated kids program.
We'll have plenty of opportunity to connect over catered meals onsite, as well as time to relax and enjoy being together outside our usual Sunday rhythm.
For those who'd like to continue into the evening, we'll finish with an optional 6pm dinner and Thanksgiving, Praise & Prayer session — a chance to hear some personal reflections from a congregation member and give thanks to God together.

Zeffy — important notice!!
We are also trialing a new registration platform Zeffy. Their mission is to support non-for-profit organisations in fundraising and events. They charge ND zero platform fees and absorb all credit card fees, so that ND keeps 100% of the money to go towards EWWA. Zeffy relies entirely on optional tips from registrants/donors (you!) to cover costs and to re-invest in their platform development.
This means that when you sign up to EWWA, at the very end there will be an option to leave a tip for Zeffy. This is completely optional and is a feature that ND cannot switch off. It is entirely up to your discretion to contribute directly to Zeffy’s mission or not and ND has no visibility or endorsement on your choice. If you don’t wish to donate, on the checkout page > click the dropdown menu > select “Other” > enter in $0 > check your Total.
